8. The Wedding Singer at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre – 30th January – 1st March 2020

The Wedding Singer

New Year = Time for new show tunes – it’s musical theatre time!

The Wedding Singer looks like a lively, fresh musical that will get you tapping your feet to some new tunes, this show based on the Hollywood film starring Adam sandler and Drew Barrymore, this 1980’s musical is worth seeing (so, i’m told!)

Starring the multi-talented Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton (Dirty Dancing, Rock of Ages) taking on the role of Robbie Hart.

Check out the trailer of the 2017 cast for a taste…
I have to admit that the songs sound great and choreography looks amazing too!

Sampled is a highlight in the dance calendar at Sadlers Wells, it’s a refreshing event which introduces you to different dance genres that you may have never even seen, tried or heard of, from dance companies old and new.

It runs over 2 days each year and as well as hosting workshops that you can participate in, they have free pre-show entertainment and activities in the foyer for all ages – definitely check this out if you love all things dance!

Here’s trailer for an example of the type of dance styles you can expect over this fun-filled weekend…

I hope that you’ve found something you like in this month’s list of shows, I didn’t include any shows from Vault Festival 2020 as they are best placed in a separate listing.

There are many more fantastic shows in London this year and already February is looking good, so I will return with next month’s listing very soon.

Thanks for reading & enjoy!
